Archi-Tekton Background

Archi-Tekton, Inc. (Atekton) was founded in 1991 in Warren, Ohio to provide professional architectural design services under the sole ownership of Pavlos P. Pavlidis. Archi-Tekton, Inc. blends the capability of a large firm with the passion of a small firm, stressing design excellence in all facets of architectural practice.

Archi-Tekton's initial concentration was residential design. Progressively building a solid reputation as one of the premier residential firms in the region, Archi-Tekton, Inc. expanded their architectural services into commercial, industrial, educational, and public housing authority building design. Currently, Archi-Tekton's primary concentration is multi-unit and elderly housing. Archi-Tekton, Inc. has comprehensive knowledge of State of Ohio (OHFA) and HUD funded Mixed-Financing and HUD 202/811 housing projects including tax credits, from grant application submission or firm commitment submission, thru final closing.

Archi-Tekton's experience with a variety of building types and clients allows it to offer comprehensive architectural services from design through construction field supervision and project closeout, or to custom tailor its scope of services to meet the particular needs of a client. The firm is professionally registered in both Ohio and Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Institute of Architects, AIA, and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, NCARB.

Experience

Pavlos worked for three architectural firms in the USA and one firm in his home land of Greece before he founded Archi-Tekton, Inc. (Atekton) in 1991 in Warren, Ohio. Pavlos' experience includes all phases of architecture, from schematic design through final construction. Pavlos has extensive experience in residential architecture ranging from single family residences to mid-rise/low rise multi-family and senior housing. He has comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) housing projects, which include but are not limited to 202/811 housing with and without tax credits, mixed financing and all aspects of Public Housing Authority projects. He has been involved in projects from grant application submission through firm commitment submission, initial closing and final closing. Pavlos has performed studies evaluating conversions of apartments to assisted living developments based on the Harvard Study and prepared a study for the conversion of an office building into supportive housing for persons with disabilities for an 811 Grant. He is an expert in door and access control systems, and has been called upon to assist other A/E firms in this capacity. Pavlos oversees the entire project and ensures that project costs and schedules are monitored and thoroughly analyzed to provide the client not only the best, but most cost-effective solutions.

Pavlos takes pride in every one of Archi-Tekton's projects, which is why he has been recognized for his designs by national and international organizations.
